Teams from communities from Moscow, Noginsk, Lyubertsy, Orekhovo-Zuevo, Kolomna, Pavlovsky Posad participated in the competition. The hosts of the holiday put up 2 teams: Elektrostal-1 and Elektrostal-2.

Bogatyrs of different nationalities (Tatars, Uzbeks, Dagestanis, Tajiks, Chechens, Ingush, Russians, etc.), united by the religion of the Almighty, came to Elektrostal to communicate with fellow believers, as well as compete in lifting a 24-kilogram weight, wrestling and pulling rope.

The event was attended by Sergey Zuykov, deputy head of the Elektrostal city district.

Opening the festival, the chairman of the DUMMO, Rushan-hazrat Abbyasov, greeted the Muslims and thanked the organizers - the Muslim community of Elektrostal "Sabyr" - and the city administration, which, seeing a good and healthy start, supported the athletes by allocating a gym with all amenities for this.

Rushan Hazrat in his welcoming speech reminded the audience of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that "a strong Muslim is better than a weak Muslim, although there is good in each of them" . In addition, Abbyasov noted that this festival took place at a time when the Winter Olympic Games are being held in Sochi.

Competitors after registration and weighing were divided into weight categories. At first, the athletes competed in arm wrestling.

Breaking for a lunchtime prayer, the Muslims continued to compete in lifting weights. It is worth noting that Hafiz Korana, a student of the Moscow Islamic University, Ayatullah Hazrat Zarifi, who played for the Noginsk team, participated in this tournament. He took one of the prizes.

Then the participants determined the best in tug of war.

After counting the points, the jury announced the names of the winners. They were awarded medals, cups and diplomas. In the team standings, Elektrostal-2 was recognized as the best.

At the end of the festival, the participants took a collective photo and continued to communicate over lunch in a local cafe.

Hello friends! On this page you can find the exact namaz time in Elektrostal for today and for any other period - a day, a week, a month, or even a year. Regarding the times for prayers, it is worth taking into account that the observation of sunrise and sunset is affected by the height of the observer's position, as well as the presence of "obstacles" on the horizon, such as mountains or houses. For example, in the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, sunrise on the first and last floor can be observed with a difference of 2-3 minutes. Therefore, if you have the opportunity to observe the sunrise and sunset on your own, then you need to rely on your observations to schedule prayers.

Sunrise: 08:52 8:52 AM

Zuhr: 12:23 12:23 PM

Asr: 13:40 1:40 PM

Sunset: 15:53 3:53 PM

Maghreb: 16:23 4:23 PM

Isha: 17:44 5:44 PM

Five obligatory Muslim prayers: fajr, zuhr, asr, maghrib and isha. The prescribed prayer times are determined by the position of the sun. Therefore, prayer times vary from day to day and depend on the location on the surface of the Earth. To correctly determine the time of prayer, you need to know the coordinates and the current date.

Fajr- morning prayer at dawn. Fajr begins with the appearance of a streak of light on the horizon and ends with sunrise.

Sunrise- the time of appearance of the first sunbeam above the horizon.

Zuhr- noon prayer. Zuhr begins shortly after the sun reaches its highest point (zenith) and ends with the start of Asr.

Asr- Afternoon prayer. The start time of the Asr prayer is defined differently in different legal schools. Two options:

  • When the length of an object's shadow becomes equal to its height.
  • When the object's shadow length becomes twice the object's height.

Asr ends at sunset.

Sunset- the time when the sun drops below the horizon.

Maghreb- evening prayer after sunset. Maghrib begins after the sun drops below the horizon and ends with the beginning of the Isha prayer.

Isha- night prayer after the evening dawn. Isha begins when the sky becomes dark and there is no scattered sunlight.

Fajr morning prayer times and Isha prayer times at night are based on the time of astronomical twilight. During astronomical twilight the sun is 12 to 18 degrees below the horizon. After the end of the evening and before the beginning of the morning astronomical twilight, the sun is more than 18 degrees below the horizon and the sky is completely dark.

Different Islamic organizations use different angles from 15 to 19.5 degrees to determine the times for Fajr and Isha prayers.

At high latitudes in the region of the Arctic Circle and to the north of it, as well as in the region of the Antarctic Circle and to the south of it, at certain times of the year the sun does not fall below the horizon at all or sinks only slightly below the horizon. As a result, the sky during this period of the year is never completely dark. There are various methods for determining Fajr and Isha prayer times for high latitudes:

  • Nearest latitude method. Latitude 48° is used to determine the intervals between Fajr prayer and sunrise, as well as between sunset and Isha prayer.
  • next day method. The closest day to the current day is used, for which it is possible to calculate the times of Fajr and Isha prayers by the standard method for given coordinates.
  • The middle of the night method. The moment of time is calculated, lying in the middle between sunset and sunrise. The time for Isha prayer is considered to be a time shortly before the middle of the night, and the time for Fajr prayer is considered to be a time shortly after the middle of the night.
  • Method of one seventh night. The time between sunset and sunrise is divided into seven equal intervals. The time for Isha prayer is after the first interval. The time for Fajr prayer is after the sixth interval.

A detailed explanation of the rules for calculating prayer times can be found in the article The Determination of Salaat Times by Dr. Monsoor Ahmed.

To calculate the prayer times, we use programs based on the Pray Times project of Hamid Zarrabi-Zadeh.

When calculating prayer times for high latitudes, the midnight method is used.

For each city, we choose a point inside the city as the “city center” and use the coordinates of this “center” to calculate prayer times. Prayer times for other locations within or near this city will vary slightly from those shown above.

All information on this page is provided for reference purposes only. Users are advised to consult their local mosque to select the method of calculation and prayer schedule that is acceptable to them.

This Sunday, perhaps, would have remained in my memory as not rainy in December, if it were not for the festive atmosphere that was created today on the square near the Oktyabr Cultural Center!

According to the press service of the Ministry of Property Relations of the Moscow Region, 12 hectares of land are included in the boundaries of the village of Kriulino in the urban district of Pavlovsky Posad. The category of the plot was changed from agricultural land to land of settlements, and the type of land use was also changed from agricultural production to individual housing construction.

During December, the TRP center of Elektrostal tests everyone who wants to pass the shooting test.

Elektrostal schoolchildren were among the winners and prize-winners of the social advertising contest "Man and garbage - who won?".

The Moscow Regional Duma on Thursday adopted a law in three readings, according to which Elektrostal will receive the status of a city of regional subordination.

Prayer of remembrance

Ten years ago, in Elektrostal, at the intersection of Mir and Tevosyan streets, a memorial to the victims of political repressions appeared. Since then, it is here that rallies have been held in honor of the victims of mass arrests, evictions and executions.

They were remembered today, bowing their heads over the scarlet carnations. The rally was attended by deputy head of administration Vladimir Kostromitin, deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma Linara Samedinova, Hero of Russia Gennady Tsatsorin, representatives of veterans' organizations, deputies, schoolchildren, caring electricians. The parting words were addressed to the youth not to allow injustices and not to repeat the terrible mistakes of the past. After a moment of silence, flowers covered the foot of the monument.
